World's Top 2% Scientists
Two years in a row · 2025 · 2026
Prof. Dr. Atiphan Pimkhaokham has once again been included in the World's Top 2% Scientists database. The 2026 edition, compiled by Elsevier with Stanford University and updated in August 2026, identifies the researchers whose published work is the most cited by other scientists worldwide. It covers two measures: the impact of a researcher's publications over their whole career, and their impact during the single year 2025.

What the ranking measures
The list is built from citations: each time a scientist refers to another scientist's published work in a new publication, that work is cited. The database counts and weighs these citations with a standard method, applied to every researcher in the same way. A high position means that a researcher's publications are widely read and used by the international scientific community. It is a measure of scientific contribution, not a clinical award, and it says nothing about any individual treatment.
For the patients of Dentopia, it is simply an indication that the dentist who treats them also takes part in the research that shapes the profession, by publishing his work and submitting it to the judgement of his peers.
